Commission Me!
I find immense pleasure in crafting bespoke commission work that can be treasured forever. From pet portraits, to wildlife or anything else you can think of, I would love to hear from you!

Frequently Asked Questions
What is your creative process?
I create my works with good old fashioned pen and paper! I enjoy the tactility of drawing by hand, using fine ink pens of all different sizes. I start my work with a simple pencil sketch of my subject, using photos I've taken for reference. Once finalised, I section off different areas, working into shapes within my subject in pen, placing pattern as I go. It is a therapeutic process that can take anywhere from 20-60+ hours depending on density and size. However, I love every mindful moment.
How does the commission process work?
To commission me I will guide you through this series of steps...
1. We will identify subject (what you would like me to draw), how big you would like the artwork, how much this will cost, when I can get you booked in for as well as discussing framing options.
2. I will ask for a selection of images of the subject. If it is a pet I will also ask for a personality description so I can capture their character in the portrait.
3. A 50% deposit will secure your slot in my diary.
4. A week before your slot I will contact you to check you are happy for me to go ahead.
5. I start drawing, providing regular updates and pictures (if you would like to see my progress).
6. Framing is carried out if required and then I drop it to you if you are local to Dorset or I will pop it in the post! The other 50% is paid on completion.
How much does it cost?
An A4, pet portrait including head and shoulders crop is £220 (unframed). This is the smallest sized artwork I offer.
Larger artwork will be quoted having discussed the variables listed (above) in stage 1 of the commission process. This quote is based on how long I think the artwork will take me.
What are the framing options?
For A4 and A3 drawings I am able to frame these works myself in a Black MDF frame and perspex front.
For different coloured frames/ sizes of artwork, I offer professional framing sourced locally at an artists rate. This is a more expensive option but is recommended to ensure the longevity of your artwork.
I can also provide the finished artwork unframed and wrapped in cello ready for you to frame yourself.
What will I recieve at the end?
You will receive your finished artwork ready to treasure forever! This will include framing options as discussed. The work will also come complete with a signed certificate of authenticity.
