This intricate pen and ink drawing captures the charm of our resident hedgehog family who pays regular visits to our rural Dorset garden. Inspired by their endearing yet resilient qualities I played into my imagination, picturing a soft underbelly as a juxtaposition to their spiky protective exterior. It felt important to express both sides of their little personalities through expressive line and intricate pattern work.
